If you've landed on this page, you probably already know roughly what's wrong with your bathroom, or what you want instead, and you're trying to work out which bit of that we actually do. Short answer: most of it, in-house, either as one job if you want the whole room done, or as a standalone piece of work if you only need one part sorted. A full renovation, from strip-out to finished room, is covered start to finish on our bathroom installation page, with the layout planning that happens before any of that on our bathroom design page. If it's just the tiling that needs doing, or a plumbing problem to sort, those get booked and quoted as their own job rather than folded into a bigger sell.

Most people land here for one of two reasons: the bathroom's dated or awkward and needs a proper rethink, or something's gone wrong (a leak, a failed shower tray, a boiler affected by moving a wall) and it's forced the issue. Either way, treat this page as the index. Use it to work out which service matches your problem, then follow the link through to the page that covers that job in detail.

The Full Range, In Brief — And Where to Read More

  • Full installation and renovation: the complete job, from strip-out to a signed-off finished room, with the whole process and timeline set out on our bathroom installation page.
  • Bathroom design: working out the layout before anything's ordered, checking pipework, drainage falls and door swings against your actual room rather than a showroom plan, covered on our bathroom design page.
  • Plumbing: first and second fix pipework, waste runs and connecting new fittings to existing supplies, whether that's within a full fit or booked as a standalone repair, detailed on our plumbing page.
  • Tiling: floor and wall tiling as its own job or bundled into a renovation, with tile types and substrates covered on our bathroom tiling page.
  • Wet rooms and walk-in showers: level-access floors and drainage sized to the room, scoped during the design visit and built as part of installation.
  • En-suites and shower rooms: work in small or awkward spaces off a bedroom or landing, or a room built without a bath where a shower is all that's wanted.
  • Disabled and accessible bathrooms: grab rails, raised WCs, walk-in showers and non-slip flooring specified around the person using the room, scoped at the same design stage.
  • Electrical and gas work tied to the bathroom: shaver points, extractor fans and zoned lighting from Part P approved installers, plus any gas work such as moving a combi boiler affected by the layout, from Gas Safe registered engineers, priced in as part of the wider job rather than booked on its own.

Not Included / Costed Separately

  • Structural work beyond the bathroom's existing footprint, such as knocking through walls or moving the room to a different part of the house, which needs separate structural and building regulations sign-off (covered in more depth on the installation page for full renovations)
  • Whole-house rewiring or a full central heating/boiler replacement unrelated to the bathroom itself: our electrical and gas work stays within the bathroom circuit and any fittings the layout change affects
  • Rerouting external soil stacks or drainage runs outside the property, which falls under groundworks rather than bathroom fitting
  • Natural stone tiling, underfloor heating and bespoke stone or solid surface worktops: available, but priced as options once you've chosen them rather than built into a standard quote, whichever service you're booking
  • Asbestos removal: if it turns up during strip-out in an older property, work on that section stops until a licensed specialist has dealt with it, and the cost sits outside our quote
  • Remedial building work uncovered once walls or floors are opened up, such as rotten joists or damp-affected plaster, priced as an addition once we can see the extent of it, whatever service triggered the opening-up

How We Match Your Enquiry to the Right Visit

  1. Tell us which part you need -- Describe whether it's a full renovation, a design consultation on its own, standalone tiling, a plumbing repair, or an accessibility adaptation, and roughly how big the job is.
  2. We route it to the right visit -- A design consultation for layout work, a plumber's assessment for a leak or repipe, a tiler's visit for a re-tiling job, or a full site survey if it's a complete renovation, rather than one generic appointment for everything.
  3. You get a written scope for that specific job -- A tiling job, a plumbing repair or a design consultation each get their own written quote and timescale, so you're not signed up to a full renovation contract when that isn't what you asked for.
  4. The relevant trade delivers it, whatever the size -- A tiling-only job is tiled by the same tiler who'd do it within a full fit, and a plumbing repair is carried out to the same NVQ Level 2/City & Guilds standard, so the smaller job isn't treated as lower priority.
  5. Sign-off and guarantee apply either way -- Even a single-service job is checked off with you and covered by the 5-Year Labour and Installation Guarantee, not just full renovations.

What it costs to get a bathroom fitted properly

The honest answer is that bathroom costs vary a fair amount, and anyone quoting a fixed figure before seeing the room is guessing. What moves the price most is the size of the room, whether you're going for a wet room (tanking and drainage work push the cost up compared with a standard shower tray), how much of the existing plumbing and electrics can stay where it is versus how much needs moving, and how much tiling is involved. A straightforward like-for-like suite swap in a room where the pipework doesn't need to move is at the cheaper end. A full reconfiguration, a wet room conversion, or work in a period property where pipework and floor joists throw up surprises once opened up, costs more. Optional extras like natural stone tiling or underfloor heating add to the total but are priced separately once you've chosen them, so they never get buried in a headline figure. Because of all that, a proper quote needs a site visit rather than a phone estimate, and that's what the written contract stage is for, so you know the full price before anything is booked in.

Why We Work as Well for a Single Repair as a Full Refit

Not every enquiry we get is a full bathroom renovation, and this page exists because of that. A fair share of what comes in is a landlord needing a shower retiled and resealed before a new tenant moves in, or a leak traced and fixed without touching the rest of the room, and treating that as its own smaller job rather than a scaled-down version of a full fit matters, because it's priced and scheduled on its own terms instead of being padded out to look worthwhile. That matters more than usual for landlords with properties in the student and HMO-heavy areas around Lenton, Dunkirk and Radford, where a bathroom often has to be back in service inside a fixed changeover window between tenancies, and where gas and electrical work carries a paper trail you need on file: a Gas Safe registered engineer's sign-off if a boiler's involved, Part P notification if the electrical work is notifiable. Because plumbing, gas and electrical work here is carried out in-house to NVQ Level 2/City & Guilds, Gas Safe and Part P standards regardless of whether the job's a repair or a five-week renovation, that paperwork is consistent either way, and you're not left explaining to a new tenant or a letting inspection why a cheaper single job wasn't done to the same standard as the last full refit.

Where we cover bathroom services

Nottingham is home ground, and it's where most of our bathroom fitting, wet room and renovation work happens week to week, across Nottinghamshire, into Derby and Derbyshire, and out to Doncaster. Nottingham's housing stock varies a lot street to street, which changes what a job actually involves: Victorian and Edwardian terraces around areas like Sherwood and Mapperley often have narrow stud partition walls and older lead or galvanised pipework that needs replacing rather than just connecting to, while 1930s semis further out tend to have more room to reconfigure a layout without structural work. We also do a fair amount of work for landlords with properties around the student and HMO belt near Lenton, Dunkirk and Radford, close to the universities, where the priority is usually a hard-wearing, easy-to-clean bathroom that can go back into use quickly rather than a show-home finish, and turnaround time between tenancies matters as much as the spec. If you're a landlord with more than one property needing work, we can talk through phasing it so you're not taking every unit out of use at the same time.

Questions we get asked about our bathroom services

What bathroom services do you actually offer in Nottingham?

Standard bathroom fitting, wet rooms, full renovations, disabled and accessible adaptations, en-suites, shower rooms, tiling, design, and the plumbing, electrical and gas work needed to complete any of those. We cover design, supply, installation and project management as one job, or as standalone services if that's all you need.

Do you take on small repairs and single jobs, or only full renovations?

Yes, this page is built around that. Not every job is a full strip-out; we also do smaller work like re-tiling a wall, sorting a plumbing repair, or a design consultation on its own. Each of those gets its own written quote reflecting the actual scope, not a scaled-down renovation contract.

Can you fit wet rooms and walk-in showers?

Yes, this is a regular part of what we do, including tanking, floor falls to the drain, and screens sized to the room. Wet rooms generally cost more than a standard shower tray because of the extra waterproofing and drainage work, which we'll cover clearly in the quote.

Is tiling available as a standalone job, or only as part of a full fit?

Tiling can be booked on its own, for example if your suite is staying but the tiling is dated or damaged. It's also included as standard within a full renovation. Our bathroom tiling page covers the specifics of what's involved either way.

Is plumbing and electrical work included, or do I need to arrange that separately?

Both are included, whether you're booking a full renovation or just that one trade. Plumbing is carried out to NVQ Level 2 and City & Guilds standard, and electrical work is completed by Part P approved installers, so you're not sourcing separate trades or checking their qualifications yourself.

Can you help with the design, or do I need to know exactly what I want first?

You don't need a finished plan. The design visit is partly about working out what the room can actually take, based on where the soil pipe, joists and existing electrics sit, and building a layout around that rather than forcing a showroom design into a space it doesn't suit.

Do you do disabled or accessible bathroom adaptations?

Yes, including walk-in showers, grab rails, raised WCs and non-slip flooring, specified around the person using the bathroom rather than a generic accessible package.

What happens if you find damp or other problems once you open the walls up on an older Nottingham property?

It gets flagged straight away rather than covered over. Older properties, particularly Victorian terraces, sometimes reveal damp-affected plaster or deteriorated pipework once work starts. That gets priced as an addition to the original quote once we can see the extent of it.

Do you offer a phased or fast-turnaround service for landlords with several rental properties?

We can, yes. If you're managing multiple Nottingham rental properties and need a bathroom back in use quickly between tenancies, or can't have every unit out of use at once, we'll talk through scheduling the work, including single-service jobs like a re-tile or a repipe, so void periods stay as short as practical.

Get your bathroom project properly scoped

A bathroom left half-finished, or fitted by whoever was free that week, tends to cost more to sort out later than it would have to get right the first time, particularly once tiling or tanking is involved. Get in touch to arrange a visit, whether that's for a full renovation or just the one service you need, and you'll walk away with a written quote covering exactly what's included, what it costs, and when it'll be done, backed by our 5-Year Labour and Installation Guarantee.
